Alloy families
Carbon steel is only the starting point. We supply the full spectrum of welding consumables — from dissimilar-metal joins and corrosion service to cast-iron repair and high-hardness overlay — in flux-cored, solid, TIG and coated-electrode form.
Ni · Ni-Cr-Mo · Ni-Cu
For dissimilar-metal joints, corrosion and high-temperature service: pure nickel, Ni-Cu, Ni-Mo, Ni-Cr, Ni-Cr-Mo and Ni-Fe-Cr in wire and electrode form.
E308 · E309L · E316
Austenitic grades for stainless fabrication and stainless-to-carbon transitions — including buffer layers before hardfacing overlay.
ENi-C1 · 99% Ni
Nickel electrodes for cold repair of grey and ductile iron: machinable deposits, minimal dilution, low cracking risk on housings and frames.
HRC > 60 · Ø1.2 / 1.6 mm
High-chrome and complex-carbide overlay wires for open-arc application on buckets, teeth, screws, hammers, rollers and crusher liners.
Manufacturing & control
Rockway consumables are produced on an integrated route — vacuum induction melting and electroslag remelting, then forging, rolling and drawing into core rod, wire and electrode. Controlling the alloy from the melt is what keeps chemistry consistent from batch to batch, so the deposit behaves the same on the first spool and the hundredth.
Chemistry is verified by optical emission spectrometry, and mechanical properties by tensile, impact and metallographic testing — with certificates available per batch.
01
Incoming alloy verified by spectrometer before it enters the melt.
02
Chemistry adjusted and confirmed on the heat before casting.
03
Rod and wire checked for dimension, surface and drawing quality.
04
Deposit chemistry, tensile and impact strength, and weldability tested before release.
